The Northside Ministerial Alliance : About Us
The Northside Ministerial Alliance enhances relations between clergy and community leaders by bringing together its members and the public for spiritual renewal, sharing, and responding to community concerns, and networking. In cooperation with the public schools, local law enforcement agencies and other agencies, the Northside Ministerial Alliance strives to strengthen families and promote a better quality of life. By working to eliminate poverty, racism, and injustice, the Alliance fosters unity, diversity, and equality in the greater Kalamazoo communities.

The Northside Ministerial Alliance, operating as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Michigan, exists to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve.

Message from the President

To The Members of Northside Ministerial Alliance
We greet you in the name that is most precious and powerful, Jesus who is the Christ. We welcome you back from a wonderful summer break. It ended with a tremendously successful end of summer activity for the community, and the first event of the year, the Annual Anti-Gun Violence Community Carnival. There were well over 2,000 participants at the event that enjoyed food, fun, rides, animals, and resource organizations that partner with us in this effort.
We would like to thank our major donors that helped sponsor this event. We appreciate your investment into our community, with the proper nourishment, we believe growth is taking place. Thanks for making this a priority and for the sacrifice of your time, and your dollars towards this very productive event. Although this was the 6th year, we are still gaining ground, because there were several parents and children that indicated they were there for the first time. They found out about it from their friends, and they vowed to surely be at the next one with their family. We are widening our net with stories like this, and we know that it translates into more positive interactions of family fun on the Northside of town, without the fear of gun violence.
As we begin this new year, we are thankful for the 50/50 partners that have made their commitment to supporting the efforts of NMA as we continue to meet the needs of the community. Each partner that sows into this effort with their $1,500.00 commitment helps us to fund all of our efforts, kicking off the year with the carnival, receiving a table at the annual prayer breakfast, and a full page ad in the annual MLK celebration, your organization or church logo on all communications and fliers, and other amenities. We have experienced great success with this method, which ensures our programming and outreach is extensive and impactful as we serve this community.
We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
